Permanent Part Time: Experienced Medical Allied Health Administration

Positive Movement, incorporating Ascot Physiotherapy/Boyd Physiotherapy is seeking an experienced and skilled Medical Allied Health Administrator to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. This critical role will be based in our Ascot office and as required assisting in our CBD office. The successful applicant will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our physiotherapy practices.

This position requires availability for 22 hours per week.

n

This is a job-share position. As the business requires, there will be the need to cover for the leave entitlements of other staff.

What you'll be doing

n

Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling and confirming appointments

n

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical histories

n

Process patient payments, claims and medical rebates

n

Demonstrate competency with third party providers

n

Experience working with insurance companies, Medicare/DVA, WorkCover providers, and private health funds is required

n

Liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies and other stakeholders

n

Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address any queries or concerns

n

Assist with the management of clinic supplies and inventory

n

Contribute to the overall administrative operations of the practice

n

What we're looking for

n

Significant experience in a medical or allied health administration role

n





Experience in any medical practice administration is acceptable

n

Experience in allied health practices, all healthcare settings including hospitals is essential

n

Minimum 5 years of experience in medical or allied health administration

n

Strong customer service and communication skills

n

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

n

Proficiency in using medical software, currently we are using PPMP software and experience with this is preferred but not essential.

n

Familiarity with healthcare and medical billing processes

n

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

n

A collaborative and proactive approach to supporting the broader team.

n

The ability to cover for other staff as required due to leave entitlements.

n

Australian work rights are required for this position
