What we're looking for in our team:

n

Diploma Children's Services or working towards this qualification is highly desirable.

n

Required - minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III Children's Services or Certificate IV OOSH Services.

n

Hold a NSW Working With Children Check (Employee)

n

Hold First Aid in an Education and Care Setting & CPR - HLTAID012

n

Hold Child Protection Training -CHCPRT025 - Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk

n

Hold or be willing to obtain National Police Check (within the last 6 months)

n

Successful completion of Compulsory National Child Safety Training

n

Minimum 2 years experience working in education & care services & working in a team environment.

n

Minimum 2 years experience in the role as a Responsible Person in education & care services and a strong understanding of this responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

n

Being responsible for the day to day operations of the OOSH service.

n

Be available to work mornings, afternoons & during Vacation Care (school holidays)

n

Lead and proactively engage with team members and support a healthy environment.

n

Respect, build and maintain positive relationships with the children and their families.

n

Consistant & effective communication with families and the Aldavilla School Leadership Team.

n

Work within the MTOP Framework, Service Policies & Procedures, National Quality Standards and National Regulations.

n

Actively supervise and effectively communicate with the children.

n

Respond to the strengths, interests, and needs of the children.

n

Engage and guide children in responsive learning activities.

n

Support an inclusive environment and the individual wellbeing needs of the children.

n





Guide children towards a sense of being and belonging within the service.

n

Recording of the observations of children's learning and development.

n

Engage in critical reflections and provide input into future programming.

n

Actively review & maintain Risk Assessments, the services Self Assessment (QIP) & Strategic Inclusion Plan

n

Plan vacation care programs, organise excursions & staff rosters.

n

Successful applicants will be provided with an Employee Handbook prior to signing a contract of employment, followed by essential online training and mentoring by an experienced team member. Our team members work in a minimum team of two educators at all times.

n

New employees are subject to a probation period and will be reviewed by the Manager/Nominated Supervisor & the Approved Provider.

n

Our days of operation are-

n

Monday to Friday during school term, Before School (7-9am) and After School Care (2:30-6pm)

n

Monday to Friday during Vacation Care & Staff Development Days (8am-6pm)

n

Minimum 31.5 hrs week, which includes paid non-contact programming & planning time + split shift allowance. (As per Children's Services Award [MA000120])

n

Up to 38 hrs week during Vacation Care

n

Hourly rate will vary based on experience and certifications between $38.18-$39 per hour.

n

Other conditions as per the Children's Services Award [MA000120]
