Client Description

- This 27-bed public Hospital is located in Northern QLD. Its services include 24 hour Emergency Department, Acute Primary Care Clinic, Fixed wing airport and helipad on site, General acute care beds adult and paediatric, Oncology service - day patients and Palliative Care.

Mandatory Experience

n

n
- Accredited Sonographer with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
n
- Sonographer capable of working independently in a small team without an onsite Radiologist. Radiologist available by phone off site only.
n
- Proficiency in obstetrics, general, paediatrics, small parts and some vascular examinations. MSK is also desirable if possible.
n
- Do not need to be dual qualified. Sonographer is the primary role.
n




- Hospital experience
n
- Knowledge of Qdoc and Impax.
n
- Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system
n
- Previous experience working in QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS or public hospital system.
n
- Basic life support
n
- Manual and patient handling
n
- Infection control including hand hygiene
n
- Occupational Violence Prevention Training incorporating de-escalation skills, situational awareness, and maintaining personal safety
n
- Mandatory reporting of reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect
n

Additionally, the candidate must agree to undertake any of the following as required by our HHS:
