Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable support worker to provide dedicated care for a 59-year-old man living with a spinal cord injury. This is a fixed-term contract position from 19th October - 13th November, with strong potential to transition into an ongoing permanent role for the right candidate. Full training will be provided, beginning with a paid buddy/observation shift starting 1st October.

Key responsibilities

Provide personal care support including manual handling, hoisting, catheter management, and bed transfers

n

Work scheduled shifts: Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Saturdays 12:00pm - 6:00pm and 6:00pm - 10:00pm

n

Deliver high-quality, compassionate support grounded in trust, respect, and reliability

n

About you

n

Strong spoken and written English

n

Demonstrated experience in manual handling, hoisting, catheter management, and bed transfers

n

A calm, respectful, and professional approach to personal care

n

Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate

n

Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check

n

National Police Check

n

Australian Business Number (ABN)

n
