The role

n

As a workshop Diesel Fitter, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair and rebuilding of a broad range of underground mining equipment, working on machines before they head out to active mine sites. This is a fantastic way to build genuine underground mining industry exposure and experience without needing to jump straight into a FIFO role.

- Work with a close-knit team of experienced diesel fitters
n
- Work on a wide range of projects and machines across the business's national contract portfolio
n
- Major component change-outs and maintenance projects
n
- Preparing machines to be sent out to new and existing mining operations
n
- Servicing, breakdown diagnostics and fault-finding across a variety of earthmoving and UG mobile plant
n
- Assisting with parts identification, ordering and workshop stock control
n

Your value

n





You must be a trade qualified Diesel Fitter (relevant trade certificate essential) with experience working on earthmoving or heavy equipment in a workshop environment. You'll also bring:

- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and ideally rebuilds
n
- Earthmoving maintenance experience (highly regarded but not essential)
n
- High level of detail and ability to deliver quality work
n
- Team player with a outstanding attitude towards work
n
