Job Description

St Mary MacKillop College is seeking a casual Canteen Assistant to support the Canteen Manager in the day-to-day operation of the College Canteen.
n The successful applicant will assist with a range of canteen duties, including food preparation and assembly, serving students, cleaning and maintaining the canteen, restocking supplies and providing friendly and efficient customer service.
n The role involves working collaboratively with the Canteen Manager, College staff, students, parents and volunteers to ensure the canteen operates smoothly and provides a welcoming service to the College community.

The successful applicant will have:

n

n
- Experience in food preparation, cooking or food service, preferably in a commercial environment.
n
- A sound understanding of food handling and hygiene practices.
n
- An understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n




- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact positively with students and members of the College community.
n
- A current Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check or be willing to obtain these.
n
