The Role

We are ideally seeking applicants who have the ability to teach Health and Physical Education.



The successful applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop effective relationships with students, staff and parents. You will ideally be a passionate educator, have a contemporary teaching pedagogy and be committed to making a difference in the lives of students. You should also be effective in engaging and engaging students and managing an appropriate learning environment.

The successful applicant should possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills that will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You should work effectively in a team environment as well as display quality teaching that enables students to achieve their potential.

The successful applicant would work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students in the classroom and extra-curricular contexts. Any or all of the following attributes will be viewed favourably:

- Experience in teaching OED in lower school and upper school and the capability teach more than one class of OED per week
- Manual bus licence, first aid currency, surf rescue swimming currency, Kayaking/Canoeing flatwater guide qualification, RST
- Excursion document planning and risk assessment and management
- Event planning including excursions and camps and be prepared to attend multiple camps
- Interest and capable to teach lifestyle fitness and knowledge of wellness activities that actively engage students in the PERMAH domains
- Prepared to contribute to a very active and busy workspace, working in a high performing team
- Capable of leading,



coaching and managing extra-curricular sport as part of the whole HPE team to help cater for the active student clientele.
- Desired ability to be able to teach across the full range of the Health and Physical Education curriculum in Health Education, Physical Education Studies and Health Studies
