About the role

NPS Holdings Pty Ltd operates the Red Rooster store at T205 Read Street, Rockingham. We are looking for a full time Store Manager to take day to day responsibility for the store, its team and its trading result. You will report to the director and you will have genuine authority over the buying, the staffing and the numbers, not only the service floor.

What you will do

- Determine the product mix, stock levels and service standards for the store
- Implement purchasing and merchandising policy and manage pricing and promotional activity within the franchise programme
- Plan and run local promotions, product displays and in-store marketing
- Manage stock end to end: forecasting, ordering, receiving, rotation, waste control, returns and stocktakes
- Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions, and prepare and work to the store budget
- Monitor and report on sales, cost of goods, labour cost and store profitability, and act on what the figures show
- Recruit, induct, train, roster and supervise store staff
- Oversee point of sale, cash handling, banking and daily reconciliation
- Set and hold customer service standards,



and resolve customer enquiries and complaints
- Ensure the store complies with work health and safety and with food safety requirements

Skills and experience required

- At least two years' experience in a retail management or retail supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability in stock control, ordering, waste management and stocktaking
- Demonstrated ability in rostering, labour cost control and staff supervision
- Able to prepare and work to a store budget and to interpret a profit and loss statement
- Confident with point of sale and retail computer systems
- An AQF Diploma or higher in business or retail management, or equivalent relevant experience
- Working knowledge of work health and safety and of food safety requirements
- Available across a seven day trading roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- The right to work in Australia
