Our team of dedicated Audit team provide external Audit services to clients within the Aged Care, Disability, and Community Care sectors and the nature of the work allows us to create connection and impact in the day-to-day of our clients and the people they serve.

The Opportunity:

As an Audit Graduate at StewartBrown, you will begin your career in a supportive and cooperative environment where you will gain hands‑on exposure to audit, accounting and advisory services across a diverse client base.

You will work alongside experienced auditors, Managers and Partners who will support your development while giving you the opportunity to build the technical knowledge, professional judgement and client skills required to become a successful Auditor.

You do not need to know everything on day one — we are looking for people with the mindset and attitude to grow.

Throughout your first year as a StewartBrown Graduate, you will develop the skills to:

Understand how organisations operate and use financial information to make informed decisions

Assist with the planning and completion of audit engagements across a range of industries and entity types

Prepare high‑quality audit documentation, workpapers and supporting analysis

Develop an understanding of financial reporting requirements and auditing standards

Perform testing procedures, investigate information and apply critical thinking to identify issues and opportunities for improvement

Review account reconciliations and financial information with accuracy and attention to detail

Build relationships and communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders

Develop an understanding of client systems, processes and controls

Work collaboratively within an experienced audit team while developing the confidence to work independently

What you can offer StewartBrown:

We’re looking for graduates who; Are completing or have recently completed your degree in Commerce,



Accounting or a related discipline in 2026

Are interested in pursuing a career in audit and professional services

Are eligible and willing to undertake the CA/CPA qualification

Communicate clearly and enjoy building professional relationships with clients and colleagues. Are curious, analytical and comfortable asking questions

Take pride in producing accurate, high‑quality work. Have experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Hold Australian citizenship, residency or legal working entitlements within Australia

Have an interest in working with not‑for‑profit organisations and making a positive impact through your work. Previous accounting, finance or professional services experience is desirable but not essential.
