Job Description

Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Officer to join our team. This role provides hands-on support across finance operations in a friendly hotel environment, with a focus on accuracy, teamwork and service.

Working collaboratively within a team of 4, you will help maintain accurate financial records, process invoices and payments, support payroll activities, and contribute to the smooth running of the hotel's financial administration.

What you will be doing

- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments and reconciliations
n
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure transactions are recorded correctly
n
- Prepare and process employee payroll in line with business requirements
n
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance team
n
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve finance-related queries
n
- Support financial audits by preparing information and responding to requests as required
n

What we are looking for

- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within hospitality
n




- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
n
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office
n
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing tasks independently to meet deadlines
n
- High levels of initiative and curiosity, supported by strong communication and customer service skills
