Our client, a well-established public practice accounting firm based in Canberra, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their collaborative and client-focused team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns, including complex Capital Gains Tax (CGT) matters.
- Review financial statements, working papers, and compliance engagements to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Manage workflow allocation and compliance deadlines across the team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and timely service delivery.
- Review SMSF tax returns and financial statements (highly regarded but not essential).
- Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with team members while independently managing complex accounting matters.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.
Key Requirements:
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a public practice environment.
- Strong experience reviewing tax returns and financial statements across various entity types.
- Sound knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software platforms.
- Strong commitment to client service excellence and continuous improvement.
