About the Position

The NRM Program Manager is responsible for the growth, sustainability and delivery of GLaWAC's Natural Resource Management (NRM) portfolio across Gunaikurnai Country. The role identifies, secures and manages commercial and government-funded opportunities that support organisational growth, Aboriginal employment, economic development and self-determination. Working closely with the Senior Manager Business Enterprise, the NRM Program Manager identifies and leverages opportunities arising from Victorian Government procurement commitments and the Gunaikurnai Recognition and Settlement Agreement (RSA) to expand GLaWAC's NRM services and activities.

The role develops and maintains strong relationships with government, industry, local government and private sector stakeholders to generate sustainable work programs and long-term partnerships. It is responsible for business development, contract management, project planning and delivery, workforce coordination,



and building the capability of GLaWAC's NRM workforce to achieve high-quality outcomes for Country, community and clients. The NRM Program Manager provides leadership and support to the NRM Coordinator and contributes to business planning, stakeholder engagement and the strategic growth of GLaWAC's NRM capability. The position ensures NRM programs are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting organisational sustainability and GLaWAC's broader self-determination objectives.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Project Management, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in NRM program development, delivery and management.
- Experience securing, managing and delivering government and commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of Victorian Government procurement and NRM programs.
- Demonstrated project management, budgeting, and reporting skills.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience preparing tenders, proposals, and business submissions.
- Strong leadership and staff development capability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Aboriginal employment, economic development, and self-determination outcomes.
- Experience working with Traditional Owner organisations.
- Knowledge of Gunaikurnai Country and cultural land management practices.
