Inchcape is seeking a Finance Director to join the Australasia Executive Team as a 2IC and commercial partner to its market leader/Managing Director at a genuinely agile time for the business and the industry. Automotive distribution is being reshaped in real time, and this role sits at the centre of that change — calling for someone energised by transformation, comfortable when outcomes aren't guaranteed, and able to help guide and pivot the finance function and wider leadership team as the landscape shifts. The Opportunity This is not a back-office finance role. You'll sit at the table as a true business partner to the MD and Executive Team, hold company directorship across all Inchcape legal entities in Australia and New Zealand, and report into our Regional Finance Director, APAC. Leading a team spanning commercial finance, FP&A;, treasury, property and strategic projects, you'll be the financial architect behind the Australasia strategic plan, supporting an ambitious leadership team through significant change. You'll be responsible for: Partnering with the MD and Executive Team to shape and challenge strategy with sharp commercial insight; Owning budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting across Australasia, through APAC to Inchcape plc in the UK; Building robust commercial controls and forward-looking FP&A; across sales, marketing, parts, supply chain and network performance; Driving revenue growth,



margin improvement and cost efficiency; Leading M&A; due diligence and investment committee submissions; Overseeing the Group Business Services (GBS) relationship for outsourced accounting; Directing property portfolio strategy across the operational footprint; Owning governance and risk with genuine credibility — building and testing controls, and leading the team through risk events, not just reporting on them; Building strong relationships with the Board, auditors, banking partners and regulators (ASIC, ATO); and Mentoring a high-performing finance team — protecting your people, building their confidence, investing in their growth. What We're Looking For Senior financial leadership in a complex, multi-entity organisation with significant scale and reporting obligations; CPA/CA qualification, tertiary education, and demonstrated senior executive leadership; A track record of moving beyond accounting to become a genuine commercial and strategic partner to a CEO/MD and Executive Team; Strong FP&A; background, confident across SM&P;, supply chain and network management; Real governance and risk credibility — your own war stories of steering a team through a tough governance event, and coming out stronger; Proven stakeholder management, including with statutory and regulatory bodies; and Strong people leadership and exceptional communication, with the confidence to influence at Board level.
