An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable & Credit Officer to join the finance team on a permanent basis.
Position Description
With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounts Receivable & Credit professional to take ownership of a large and varied ledger. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing a debtors ledger of national accounts
- Daily verification, allocation and reconciliation of customer payments
- Monitoring outstanding balances and proactively following up overdue accounts
- Handle and assess credit applications
- Reviewing and set up new accounts and customers, including the completion of credit checks
- Monitoring compliance with credit terms and managing credit risk
- Building strong relationships with key customers to understand payment patterns and support effective collections
- Assist with daily cash flow forecasting and prepare debtors reports
- Collaboratively participate in strategic planning and continued process improvement
- Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the broader finance team
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have proven Accounts Receivable & Credit experience within a large scale organisation, as well as the following attributes:
- 5+ years experience managing a large multi-million dollar ledger
- Confident communicator with proven customer service and stakeholder management skills
- A keen eye for detail and strong time management skills
- Sound understanding of credit assessment, credit limits and debtor risk
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- A proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving
