About the role

Woodcroft Medical Centre is looking for an experienced and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and dedicated team on a casual basis.

This role is currently available 2 days per week, with Monday being an essential day, 9:00am–5:00pm. The second working day can be negotiated based on your availability and the needs of the practice, with the opportunity to increase your hours over time.

As a Practice Nurse, you’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting the health and wellbeing of our local community. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals in a practice where your skills, experience and contribution are genuinely valued.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will:

- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including immunisations, wound care, medication administration, health assessments and monitoring of vital signs.

- Assess patient needs and contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans.

- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, ensuring care is delivered safely and effectively.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

- Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals and the wider practice team to ensure coordinated and seamless patient care.

- Support preventative health initiatives, chronic disease management and health promotion within the practice.

- Contribute to a positive patient experience by providing compassionate,



professional and respectful care.

- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up to date with current evidence-based nursing practices.

What we're looking for

We’re seeking a nurse who is professional, approachable and passionate about making a positive difference to patients.

You will have:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

- A minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience, with experience in General Practice highly desirable.

- Strong clinical skills and a sound understanding of evidence-based nursing practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

- Strong organisational, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

- Confidence using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare technology.

- The ability to work independently while also being a valued and team-oriented member of the team.
