We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Vulnerability Management Specialist / Manager to lead the reduction of key vulnerabilities across enterprise IT, security infrastructure and operationally sensitive environments. You will improve patching performance, drive remediation through to closure and hold our managed service provider accountable for measurable outcomes.

This is a senior level position offering a 12 month contract with potential for extension or even conversion to permanent if both parties desire. It's offering above market and very competitive daily contract rates, negotiable depending on experience, technical knowledge and skills. Its a hybrid WFH and office based role in Melbourne CBD and is starting asap for the right candidate.

In this role, you will:

- Own and improve the end-to-end vulnerability and patch management lifecycle across enterprise IT, security infrastructure and agreed operational technology interfaces.
- Prioritise critical and high-risk vulnerabilities using threat intelligence, exploitability, asset criticality and business impact.
- Govern provider performance through clear service levels, reporting, escalation and corrective action.




- Coordinate safe patch deployment while protecting the reliability and availability of essential services.
- Provide executive reporting aligned with applicable SOCI Act obligations.

What you will bring:

- Demonstrated success reducing vulnerability exposure and improving patch compliance in a complex, highly available environment.
- Solid knowledge of vulnerability platforms ( CrowdStrike or similar ) , patching technologies, threat-informed remediation and VM frameworks.
- Proven experience governing managed service providers and influencing technical, operational and executive stakeholders.
- Australian critical infrastructure experience and knowledge of the SOCI Act are highly regarded.
