Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking a Locum O&G; Registrar to support Obstetrics and Gynaecology roster coverage across a regional hospital setting.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced O&G; Registrar looking to maximise earnings over the summer period, with a competitive daily rate of $2,000 per day.

The placement runs from 28 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, with rostered cover generally running across 24-hour periods.

You will support maternity, antenatal and gynaecology presentations, assist with management plans, complete clinical documentation and escalate care appropriately when required.

Clinical Environment

You will provide Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar cover within Murrumbidgee LHD.

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad women’s health patient mix, including antenatal patients, maternity presentations, labour ward patients, gynaecology patients, acute reviews and patients requiring assessment, documentation, escalation or ongoing care.

Key Duties

- Provide O&G; Registrar cover across rostered shifts
- Review and manage antenatal, maternity and gynaecology presentations
- Support labour ward, ward-based care and urgent reviews as required
- Complete clinical documentation,



handover and management plans
- Escalate patient concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with medical, midwifery, nursing and allied health teams

Requirements

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent O&G; Registrar-level experience
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
