A well-established FMCG business is seeking an experienced Factory Shop Supervisor to support the effective, compliant and profitable operation of a busy factory retail shop in Epping.
This is a hands-on supervisory role covering daily store operations, staff supervision, sales performance, stock control, cash management, customer service, food safety, housekeeping and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily factory shop operations and staff.
- Support sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance, promotions and product presentation.
- Maintain strong customer service standards.
- Allocate staff duties and monitor performance.
- Manage stock levels, rotation and replenishment requirements.
- Assist with stock takes, recounts and stock investigations.
- Monitor short-dated, damaged and excess stock.
- Supervise cash-ups and till reconciliations.
- Investigate and report cash discrepancies.
- Ensure refunds, discounts and voids follow procedure.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation.
- Coach, motivate and train staff.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality and performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety,
hygiene and quality procedures.
- Maintain temperature records and quality checks.
- Ensure workplace Health & Safety, security and asset-protection procedures are followed.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
- Minimum 5 years’ retail experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a retail environment.
- Experience in stock control, cash management and customer service.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations.
- Valuable numerical and analytical ability.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Computer literate, including Excel and POS systems.
- Syspro / retail systems exposure advantageous.
- Food safety knowledge advantageous.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays and overtime when operationally required.
- Able to travel between factory shops if required.
