About the role:
Ethical Hire is currently looking for Disability Support Workers who have experience supporting participants with complex support needs.
Please note that there are Three different positions available.
You will be part of a care team assisting participants with different disabilities and support needs.

Position requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in disability support.
- Experience working with participants with complex support needs.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Australian Driver Licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including split shifts, weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.

Location 1:

- Mont Albert - We are looking for a female Mandarin-speaking Support Worker to support a participant living with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). The role involves assisting the participant with personal care, grooming, daily living activities, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities for Mandarin-Speaking Support Worker:

- Assist with personal care and grooming.
- Daytime Support: Assist with daily living tasks, implement therapy strategies, and support participation in enjoyable activities and community outings.
- Morning and Evening Assistance: Support daily routines, including getting ready for the day, exercises, and bedtime.
- Specialised Care: Assist with transfers, mobility, and the use of equipment.

We are looking for:
To be successful in this Support Worker role,



you must be able to speak Mandarin fluently and have good availability during weekdays.

Location 2:

- South Melbourne: We are looking for a Tetum or Bahasa/Indonesian language-speaking Support Worker to support a participant living with ABI.

Key Responsibilities for Tetum or Bahasa/Indonesian language-Speaking Support Worker:

- Assist with personal care and grooming.
- Daytime Support: Assist with daily living tasks, implement therapy strategies, and support participation in enjoyable activities and community outings.
- Morning and Evening Assistance: Support daily routines, including getting ready for the day, exercises, and bedtime.
- Specialised Care: Assist with transfers, mobility, and the use of equipment.

We are looking for:
To be successful in this Support Worker role, you must be able to speak Tetum or Bahasa/Indonesian language fluently and have good availability during weekdays.

Location 3:

- Reservoir: We are looking for an experienced Gardener with Support Worker experience for a physically active outdoor role.
- The role involves maintaining gardens and grounds at public spaces, stadiums, schools, and other sites while supervising and supporting a team of employees with disability.



You must be comfortable working outdoors, using gardening equipment, and safely handling horticultural chemicals.

Key Responsibilities for the Gardener with Support Worker experience:

- Supervise, coach, and support employees with disability in their daily work.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
- Perform and supervise gardening tasks, including lawn mowing, edging, pruning, hedging, weeding, mulching, and planting.
- Maintain gardens, lawns, and general site presentation.
- Safely operate gardening equipment and use horticultural chemicals.
- Complete vehicle/equipment checks, daily reports, and support notes.
- Follow and promote workplace health and safety requirements.

We are looking for:
To be successful in this gardening role, you will have:

- Experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance.
- Experience supporting people with disability.
- Experience supervising or leading a small team.
- Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
- and have availability to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
