Showroom & Operations Manager | Wangaratta | $37 - $40 per hour | MON - FRI no weekends

We are pumped to represent a brand new client in Wangaratta! Our client is a well-established, family-owned wholesale lighting business, searching for an experienced and highly capable Showroom & Operations Manager (2IC).

n

This is an opportunity for someone who is ready to move beyond a traditional sales or showroom position and take genuine ownership of the day-to-day operation of a business.

n

Working closely with the owner, you'll become the 2IC, overseeing the showroom, customers, tradie relationships, orders, stock, online enquiries and day-to-day operations while the owner focuses on clients, business development and recent opportunities.

n

Longer term, this role has a genuine pathway into a broader management position.

Role Breakdown:

n

This is a diverse role combining sales, customer relationships, showroom operations, administration, stock management, lighting design and commercial support. You'll play a key role in keeping the business running efficiently and ensuring customers and trade clients receive an outstanding level of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Trade & Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers, suppliers and clients while assisting customers with their lighting requirements.
n
- Sales & Lighting Design: Assist customers with product selection, provide lighting advice and support lighting design work, quotes and project requirements.
n
- Showroom & Business Operations: Take ownership of the daily running of the showroom,



ensuring everything is organised, presentable and operating smoothly.
n
- Orders & Stock: Process customer orders, monitor stock levels, place supplier orders and ensure products are available when required.
n
- Online Sales & Enquiries: Manage online enquiries and orders, respond to customer communications and ensure enquiries are followed through professionally.
n
- Administration & Systems: Monitor and respond to emails, maintain accurate records and use systems including Excel to support the efficient running of the business.
n
- Operational Improvement: Identify ways to improve processes, systems and efficiencies and take initiative to get things done without needing to be constantly directed.

Who we're looking for?

n

We're not necessarily looking for someone who has already held a formal management title.

n

We're looking for someone who has the maturity, initiative and capability to become a manager.

n

The person we are looking for will ideally be:

n

Experienced in sales, customer service, showroom operations or account management

n

Confident dealing with customers, trade clients and suppliers

n

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

n

Commercially minded and comfortable understanding customer and business needs

n

Someone who naturally takes ownership and responsibility

n

Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a busy environment

n

Confident using technology and business systems

n

Competent with Microsoft Excel & Canva, or able to pick it up quickly

n

Industry experience in lighting, electrical, interiors, building products or a similar environment would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right person.
