The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a General Medicine and Gastroenterology Specialist to join a friendly, professional and supportive medical team in Orange, NSW.

The successful applicant will provide specialist general medical and gastroenterology services across the hospital, working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role The successful specialist will participate in a 1-in-8 General Medicine on-call roster and contribute to the delivery of high-quality inpatient and consultation services.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Providing specialist General Medicine and Gastroenterology services
- Participating in the 1-in-8 General Medicine on-call roster
- Caring for medical outlier patients
- Providing general medical consultations
- Participating in ortho-geriatric consultations
- Contributing to a Rapid Access Medical Clinic
- Assisting with the collection, analysis and review of general medical ward data and outcomes
- Contributing to quality improvement and service development
- Working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams
