Senior BASE24-eps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior BASE24-eps Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years' hands-on ACI BASE24-eps experience to work within a high-volume banking and payments environment.

You will support, troubleshoot and maintain a business-critical BASE24-eps environment while also developing, customising and enhancing payment functionality.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide hands-on L2/L3 production support for BASE24-eps
- Investigate and resolve payment transaction failures and production incidents
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Develop, customise, configure and enhance BASE24-eps
- Support ATM, POS, EFT and card payment processing
- Troubleshoot authorisation, routing, switching, settlement and reconciliation
- Support interfaces with Visa, Mastercard, payment networks and host banking systems
- Monitor system health, performance and transaction processing
- Support releases, deployments, upgrades and payment scheme changes




- Participate in testing and implementation of BASE24-eps enhancements
- Support high availability, DR and failover activities
- Work within a 24x7 production support environment
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, QA and payments teams

What we're looking for:

- Minimum 5+ years' hands-on BASE24-eps experience
- Strong BASE24-eps production support experience
- Hands-on BASE24-eps development/customization experience
- Solid knowledge of payment switching and card transaction processing
- Experience with ATM/POS acquiring and EFT
- Understanding of the end-to-end card transaction lifecycle
- Experience troubleshooting high-volume payment environments
- Strong Incident, Problem and Change Management experience
- Banking or Financial Services experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
