Genus Services is seeking an experienced Field Contract Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

This is a field-focused role responsible for overseeing and managing the field aspects of assigned telecommunications contracts, ensuring contractors deliver the required contractual, commercial, customer, safety and quality outcomes.

n

Working closely with our project teams, clients and subcontractors, you will play a key role in monitoring field delivery, conducting audits, managing contractor performance and ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

The Role

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Oversee field-based activities across assigned contracts
n
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
n
- Conduct regular field audits of completed work and work in progress, with a strong focus on safety and quality
n
- Ensure Safe Work Method Statements and Technical Work Instructions are followed
n
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is delivered within expected timeframes and quality requirements
n
- Monitor contractor claims for completed work and ensure accuracy
n
- Identify and address defective workmanship and coordinate required rectification works
n
- Manage field and contractor escalations in conjunction with management, SHEQ and clients
n
- Investigate customer complaints and ensure appropriate actions and rectification works are completed
n
- Conduct regular audits of contractor safety tools and equipment
n
- Provide contractors with feedback regarding quality requirements and performance
n
- Run regular toolbox meetings with contracted suppliers
n
- Liaise with project teams regarding workflow and field delivery
n
- Identify non-conformances and ensure appropriate remedial actions are implemented
n
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality,

About You

n

To be considered for this role, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience managing field-based resources within a medium to large services business
n
- Experience delivering projects safely, on time and to required quality standards
n
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Robust field-based safety and quality focus
n
- Excellent client relationship and account management skills
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- The ability to manage day-to-day operational issues with autonomy and sound judgement
n
- Strong time management and organisational skills
n
- The ability to analyse information and prioritise customer requirements
n
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
n
- Competency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
n
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
n
- Construction Industry White Card
n

n

A Certificate III or higher/equivalent telecommunications trade qualification and previous experience within telecommunications, utilities, construction or resources will be highly regarded.

n
