Are you looking to build a career in credit and risk within financial services? Our client, a specialist provider of surety and trade credit solutions, is looking for a Credit Analyst to join their Sydney-based credit team.

This is a excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years' experience in a corporate environment - whether that's corporate banking support, finance administration, or credit support - to step into a role with genuine exposure to credit analysis, underwriting and claims handling.

The Role

n

You'll support the credit team across credit analysis, risk management and claims handling, triaging incoming applications, keeping underwriting records accurate, and helping with client administration to keep the division's workflow moving.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Carry out initial risk screening, client data triage and credit checks on incoming bond and leasebond applications
n
- Extract financial data and format spreadsheets to help relationship managers prepare credit analysis
n
- Check documentation and application components against internal underwriting checklists and compliance rules
n
- Help monitor portfolio risk by following up overdue annual financial statements and saving compliance certificates
n




- Handle initial claims administration - logging claim notifications, setting up claims files and gathering contract documents
n
- Maintain underwriting databases and core systems, ensuring approved facility limits and terms are captured accurately
n
- Collect missing application documents, security signatures and client details from brokers and clients
n
- Monitor and prioritise the shared team inbox, routing complex queries to the right people
n
- Support the Credit Manager and Head of Division with ad-hoc reporting, reconciliations and general administration

What You'll Bring

n

n
- A business, finance or accounting tertiary qualification, or introductory finance sector experience
n
- Sound numerical ability and a genuine interest in financial statements and commercial credit
n
- Strong data accuracy, good organisation and the ability to manage several tasks under time pressure
n
- A willingness to learn, adapt and take coaching from senior team members
n
- 1-3 years' experience in a corporate environment, ideally in corporate banking support, finance administration or credit support
