The Plaza Hotel is looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand to join our team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly, day in and day out.

About the role

n

You'll be a key part of our kitchen's daily operation, supporting our chefs and keeping everything clean, organised and compliant. Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning throughout service
n
- Assisting with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen team
n
- Receiving, checking and correctly storing deliveries
n
- Maintaining cleanliness of coolrooms, storage areas and workstations to food safety standards
n
- Managing rubbish and recycling, and keeping the kitchen presentable at all times
n
- Supporting the team during busy service periods
n

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
n
- Positive attention to detail,



particularly around cleanliness and food safety
n
- A team player who's happy to pitch in wherever needed
n
- Flexibility to work across our trading days
n
- A current Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
n
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential — we'll train the right person
n
