If you're an experienced Storeperson who likes things organised, accounted for and running properly, this could be a fantastic role for you.

Our client is an established and successful Brisbane business that has recently moved into a larger office and warehouse facility on Brisbane's southside. With the business continuing to grow, they now need an experienced person to take real ownership of their stores and warehouse function. And when we say ownership, we mean it.

This isn't a role where you'll simply be handed a pick list each morning and told what to do. You'll be responsible for knowing what's in the warehouse, where it is, what belongs to which project, what needs to be ordered, what's due to go out and what could be working better.

The foundations are there, but the warehouse is still evolving and there is plenty of opportunity to improve how things are organised and managed.

They want someone experienced enough to come in, learn how things currently operate and then think, "Right, I've got this." Someone who notices something isn't working and thinks about how to fix it rather than waiting for someone else to tell them what to do.

What will you be doing?
This is a hands-on role where you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of the stores and warehouse.
You'll be:

- Receiving, checking and receipting incoming goods
- Picking,



allocating and dispatching stock, tools and equipment
- Keeping stock levels accurate and ensuring items are replenished when required
- Making sure project materials are clearly identified, allocated and kept together
- Organising pallets and larger project deliveries, some of which may be stored for extended periods before being required
- Managing the company tool register and ensuring tools are returned, maintained and calibrated when required
- Completing regular cycle counts and helping ensure stocktake doesn't come with any nasty surprises!
- Keeping the warehouse organised, safe and easy to work in
- Making sure stock and equipment aren't simply taken without being correctly allocated
- Working with internal staff and contractors to keep things running smoothly
- Identifying practical ways to improve warehouse processes, systems and organisation
- There will be busy days where you're very hands-on, but there will also be quieter periods. That's when we're looking for someone who can look around, identify what could be improved and get stuck into it.

Who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with solid stores and warehouse experience who is ready to take responsibility for their own area.



This role is not about managing people – it's about managing the function.
You'll ideally bring:

- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory or similar role
- A current forklift licence with high-reach experience
- Good stock control and inventory management skills
- Experience receiving, allocating and dispatching goods
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- An understanding of warehouse safety and compliance
- The ability to plan ahead and prioritise your workload
- A practical, hands-on approach
- The confidence to communicate with people at all levels of a business
- The initiative to see what needs doing and get on with it
- Experience within a technical, trades, engineering, electrical, mechanical or similar environment would certainly be helpful, but isn't essential
- There is some manual handling involved, so you'll also need to be comfortable working in a physical warehouse environment

Someone who likes knowing the stock is right, the tools are accounted for, the pallets are where they should be and people aren't wandering in and helping themselves to parts!
