FLORIST MANAGER – Hamilton Island / Floral & Retail

Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and creative Florist Manager to lead our Floral & Retail operations. From spectacular island weddings and corporate events to bespoke floral arrangements, you'll combine your floristry expertise with strong commercial leadership to deliver beautiful designs, exceptional customer experiences and a successful retail operation.

Your Role

As Florist Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the Floral & Retail business, leading your team while ensuring wedding, event and retail orders are delivered professionally and efficiently. You'll manage everything from team development and client quotations to merchandising, financial performance and operational standards.

Where you’ll make an impact

- Lead the daily operation of the Floral & Retail business
- Coach, develop and mentor Senior Florists and team members
- Oversee floral requirements for weddings, corporate clients and events
- Ensure quotations are prepared accurately and delivered on time
- Liaise with Weddings, Events and clients to bring floral concepts to life
- Create and maintain exceptional customer service standards
- Manage team rosters to meet business and event requirements
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and store presentation
- Monitor P&L; performance against business objectives




- Manage cash handling, reconciliations and operational procedures
- Support inventory management, ordering and stock control
- Maintain compliance with HIE policies, procedures and operating standards

You are a creative and commercially minded leader with strong floristry knowledge and a passion for weddings and events. You enjoy developing people, building relationships with clients and stakeholders, and balancing creative excellence with the operational demands of a busy retail and events business.

To be successful, you will need:

- Senior-level retail management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in floristry (Essential)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data manipulation (Essential)
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities
- Commercial mindset with solid problem-solving skills
- Professional presentation and attention to detail
- Experience with POS, inventory and finance systems (Highly Desirable)
- Knowledge of financial accounting and P&L; management (Desirable)
