SkillQuest Solutions is seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer on behalf of our client, an established IT services and technology solutions business located in North Geelong, Victoria. Position – Computer Network and Systems Engineer

Location – North Geelong, Victoria 3215

Salary - $78,000 - $83,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type – Permanent, Full time

THE ROLE:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing performance of network and computer systems within a dynamic technology environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Analyse and evaluate system designs, architecture specifications, data models and technical requirements.

· Research, analyse and monitor network infrastructure to maintain optimal network performance.

· Assess network operations and recommend improvements to hardware, software, communications and operating systems.

· Install, configure, test, maintain and administer networks, servers, workstations and related systems.

· Provide specialist technical support and troubleshoot network and system faults and operational issues.

· Monitor network traffic, capacity, activity and usage to maintain network integrity and performance.

· Configure and maintain network hardware, software and associated infrastructure.

· Assist with network programming and system configuration to support business and operational requirements.





· Diagnose network faults and implement appropriate solutions, enhancements and system modifications.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network inventories, operating procedures and records of system faults and resolutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· Relevant qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a closely related discipline (or agreed equivalent).

· Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in computer network and systems engineering or a closely related role.

· Demonstrated experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting computer networks and systems.

· Experience with network infrastructure, servers, operating systems and associated hardware and software.

· Sound understanding of network performance, monitoring, configuration and fault diagnosis.

· Ability to analyse technical issues and implement practical and effective solutions.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.

· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a technical team.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing technical priorities.

· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
