Job Description

Novotel Melbourne on Collins is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead our hotel operations in Melbourne, Australia. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's performance, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest and employee experiences. This is a strategic leadership position where you will set the vision for the property, manage financial performance, and inspire a diverse team to achieve organizational goals.

- Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share for the property
- Oversee all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance to ensure seamless service delivery
- Oversee capital projects including the refurbishment and repositioning of the hotel in 2027
- Manage the hotel's budget and P&L; statement,



analyzing financial performance and implementing cost-control measures while maintaining service quality
- Lead, mentor, and develop the management team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences by establishing and maintaining high service standards across all departments
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including ownership, corporate partners, and community organizations
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
- Drive revenue optimization through effective pricing strategies, occupancy management, and targeted marketing initiatives
