We are looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to join a team to assist our young female client who lives with an acquired spinal cord injury. The hours available are 0700-0900 & 1500-1930 weekdays during school terms and during school holidays 0900-1500 weekdays.

We are seeking professional workers that have worked with and are confident with clients who live with Quadriplegia. McArthur Community Care, respect and value our workforce, by doing this, we are paying a considerable amount above the award.

You will be responsible for providing dedicated, individualised and flexible support services to assist our client to live independently, safely, and comfortably within the community.

Your role will include:

- Supporting our 13-year-old client in her home in Kapunda where she receives support from a dedicated team of support workers
- Support with personal care - hygiene, transfers, continence, grooming, etc
- Support with meal management and community access including driving our client to and from school in the client's own modified vehicle
- Working within a highly unwavering team of workers

Our Applicants will have:

- An engaging Person-centred approach to in home support with exceptional listening skills and a highly professional approach to support work
- Effective communication and relationship building skills particularly with young people
- Full driving licence and an experienced and confident driver
- A positive, engaging and respectful manner.
- A genuine desire to have influence in the lives of people with a disability.
- Proven experience in collaborating with people living with a disability that have high complex care needs.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Certificate III in Individual Support or similar or Diploma of Nursing/Bachelor of Nursing.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
