Job Description

Greennie is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Barista café all-rounder to join our team on a part time basis. Based in Brighton VIC 3186, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our café operations, delivering exceptional customer service and expertly prepared beverages. As a café all-rounder, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our customers whilst maintaining the high standards that define the Greennie brand.

What you'll be doing

n

Preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, specialty drinks and other café offerings with precision and flair

n

Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are fulfilled to the highest standard

n

Maintaining an immaculate and hygienic café environment, including cleaning and sanitising equipment, work surfaces and serving areas

n

Managing café operations including stock rotation, inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed

n

Processing payments and handling the till system with accuracy and integrity

n

Providing warm, friendly and attentive customer service, remembering regular customers and their preferences

n

Assisting with food preparation and plating, following all health and safety guidelines

n

Supporting the team during peak service periods, working collaboratively to ensure smooth operations

n

Adhering to all food safety regulations and café policies

n

What we're looking for

n

Proven experience as a barista or in a similar café environment, with demonstrated expertise in espresso machine operation and coffee preparation

n

Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques

n

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, welcoming demeanour and ability to engage with diverse clientele





n

Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and presentation standards

n

Ability to work efficiently during peak periods whilst maintaining quality and composure under pressure

n

Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

n

Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work part-time shifts including weekends and public holidays as required

n

Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic maths skills for handling transactions

n

Desirable: Food handling certification or willingness to obtain it; experience with café culture and specialty coffee trends
