Our client is a global financial services organisation. It's securities services business supports some of the largest institutional investors in Australia and worldwide. It has launched a data-as-a-service product for institutional investors, and it's now building out features to scale that product across more clients.

The role

As Senior Project Manager, you'll be the Melbourne-based delivery lead, sitting closest to the product's Australian clients. You'll take over part of a busy delivery portfolio and drive new features from design through to go-live. You'll work with a technology partner and global teams covering pre-sales, operations, and design, build and test. The initial target operating model is in place, so you'll help mature it as the product grows. This is a 12-month contract with a strong chance of extension, on a hybrid basis with flexible hours to suit a global team.

What you'll do

- Plan and schedule feature delivery on a Databricks-based data product
- Manage stakeholders with competing priorities across regions and partners
- Coordinate a technology partner, managed services and global delivery teams
- Run governance meetings,



capture decisions and drive follow-up actions
- Track risks, dependencies and milestones, and report progress to senior leadership

What you'll bring

- 8+ years' project management experience with strong scheduling skills
- Delivery experience in financial services, ideally securities services, custody or investment data
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Disciplined meeting management, minuting and follow-through
- Experience working with vendors and teams across multiple time zones

Nice to have: Databricks or cloud data platform delivery, Agile or hybrid delivery methods, a PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification, and experience maturing a target operating model.
