Ventia is seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to support VIMC (Victorian Intelligent Transport Systems Maintenance Contract) across Melbourne. Role responsibilities

- Support the implementation and maintenance of SHEQ management plans, systems and processes across the contract.
- Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations to improve safety performance and prevent recurrence.
- Facilitate risk assessments, maintain risk registers and ensure SHEQ documentation is managed in line with company requirements.
- Support rehabilitation and Return to Work programs in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Promote a strong safety culture through engagement activities, toolbox talks, inductions and training initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with legislation, regulations, standards and internal SHEQ requirements.
- Assist operational teams in identifying, managing and mitigating safety, environmental and quality risks.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.




- Seasoned experience as a Safety Advisor, Safety Coordinator, SHEQ Advisor or similar.
- Experience in civil construction, roads, transport, or a similar environment.
- Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management, particularly in live traffic environments.
- Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Flexibility to travel across a broad area as required at times.
