Job Description

Reporting to the Rail Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the required capabilities in the following areas:

- Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
- Store the products in proper places in the intermodal park
- Transport containers around Intermodal park
- Load containers in a secure and timely manner
- Sort and label containers as per company procedures
- Weigh products and record weight and other data in product labels
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory
- Able to load containers ensuring they are not damaged during handling operations
- Refuel of the Forklift
- Administrative tasks in relation to monitor/management of containers leaving and entering the Intermodal yard
- Track the movements of Containers within the yard
- Perform minor maintenance / service tasks on yard equipment
- Use the man cage to disengage/engage twist locks on containers arriving on train units

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Essential

- Hold a current High Risk work license LF (Forklift)
- Hold a current High Risk work license CN
- Hold a current High Risk Work license DG (Dogging) and/or RB Basic Rigging (includes dogging)

Desirable

- First Aid Qualification
- Cert III in Supply Chain or similar
- Working knowledge of Rail industry including rail protocols

Other important information
