Manager – Stakeholder Engagement

n End: 31 March 2027
n Rate: $135–$145 per hour + superannuation
n Hours: 35 hours per week / 7 hours per day
n Location: Hybrid
n An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Manager – Stakeholder Engagement to lead the strategic engagement function within a large government department. This senior role will provide expert advice, establish best-practice engagement frameworks and lead stakeholder strategies across complex programs and projects.

The Role Working in a hybrid environment, you will provide strategic leadership across stakeholder and community engagement, partnering with internal teams to deliver consistent, effective and integrated engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Lead the Department's strategic stakeholder engagement framework and function.
n
- Provide expert advice on complex stakeholder and community engagement matters.
n
- Develop and implement engagement processes, tools and best-practice frameworks.
n
- Lead stakeholder engagement strategies and plans across major programs and projects.
n
- Partner with communications teams to deliver integrated communications and engagement initiatives.
n
- Manage complex and sensitive stakeholder issues.
n
- Drive continuous improvement in engagement practices,



standards and governance.
n
- Build stakeholder engagement capability across the organisation.
n
- Influence diverse business areas to achieve consistent engagement practices.
n
- Monitor emerging stakeholder issues that may impact departmental priorities and outcomes.
n

About You To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- Significant experience developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and communications strategies.
n
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and stakeholder engagement functions.
n
- Strong strategic planning, influencing and stakeholder management capability.
n
- Experience navigating complex, sensitive and high-profile stakeholder matters.
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Stakeholder and Community Engagement, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
n
- A current Driver's Licence.
n
- Flexibility to undertake overtime when required for Crisis Communications and Incident Management Team (IMT) requirements.
n
- Must be based in NSW
n
