Our client, a well-established and growing recycling and resource recovery business based in West Melbourne, is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their busy facility. This prospect offers an immediate start on Day Shift, with potential for ongoing, long-term employment.

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on position operating excavators within a fast-paced recycling yard. You will play a key role in sorting, loading, and processing recyclable materials while supporting safe and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate excavators (including grab and magnet attachments)
n
- Sort, move, and load materials such as concrete, metals, and green waste
n
- Feed fixed and mobile plant equipment (crushers, shredders, etc.)
n




- Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
n
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures
n
- Work closely with site supervisors and team members
n

About You

n

n
- Demonstrated experience operating excavators in recycling, waste, quarry, or construction environments
n
- Relevant plant operator tickets/licences
n
- Strong commitment to safety and site procedures
n
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
n
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
n
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required
n
