The Mine

n





This site is a medium sized underground hard rock gold mining operation located in regional Victoria. In between Bendigo and Melbourne.

n

- Lengthy LOM with a strong production outlook
n
- High-grade narrow-vein gold and antinomy
n
- Experiencing minor ground squeezing and convergence
n

n

The Role

n

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will enjoy working in a close-knit team of experienced underground mining professionals. As an all-round mining engineer, you'll be faced with duties similar to;

n

n
- Provide short- and medium-term mine planning support across underground operations, including stope design, scheduling, and sequencing
n
- Conduct geotechnical assessments and ground support recommendations in conjunction with the geotech team
n
- Monitor and optimise development and production rates against plan, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
n
- Prepare and review technical reports, budgets, and reconciliation data for management
n
- Support ventilation, drainage, and infrastructure design for underground workings
n
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations across all engineering activities
n
- Collaborate with operations, geology, and survey teams to drive continuous improvement in mine design and execution
n

The Rosters

n

n
- 8 days on,



6 days off (11 hours per day, leaving site at 1.00pm on day 8)
n
- 5 days on 2 days off (9 hours per day, with every weekend off)
n

n

Your Value

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
n
- A minimum of 12 months recent experience as a Mining Engineer in UG hard rock mining
n
- Seasoned open cut mining engineers looking to enter the UG mining space are welcomes to apply
n
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer packages (Word, Excel etc)
n
- Proficient in the use of mine design software (Deswik experience is advantageous)
n
- A good communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills
n
- First Aid Certificate or equivalent
n
- Strong safety focus on site
n
