The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll be part of a collaborative payroll team responsible for processing a medium to high-volume end-to-end payroll.
You’ll manage weekly and fortnightly payroll, payroll reconciliations, month-end reporting and third-party payments, while ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. There will also be opportunities to get involved in payroll projects and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll
- Manage payroll reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Process third-party payments
- Maintain employee records, leave balances and entitlements
- Interpret and apply the Manufacturing Award
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies
- Respond to payroll queries across the business
- Work closely with HR, Finance and operational teams
- Support payroll projects and process improvements
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll
- Experience processing medium to high-volume payroll
- Strong ADP Payforce experience is highly desirable
- Experience across weekly or fortnightly payroll
- Robust understanding of Australian payroll legislation and Awards
- Manufacturing Award experience would be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and proactive approach
