THE OPPORTUNITY

Beneco is growing its presence in Tasmania, and we are looking for experienced and driven Rehabilitation Consultants to join our team. This is a fully remote role, offering you the opportunity to bring your expertise directly to the people and workplaces that need it most.

We are open to candidates from a range of allied health and rehabilitation disciplines, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, and Psychology are. Regardless of discipline, what’s important to Beneco is that you have genuine experience in occupational rehabilitation and a passion for and commitment to supporting people through recovery and back to meaningful work.

Key focus areas include:

- Managing an active caseload across the WorkCover Tasmania scheme, delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to injured workers across the state.
- Conducting an array of assessments and developing injury management and return-to-work plans tailored to each individual’s needs and circumstances.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, treating practitioners, WorkSafe Tasmania, and other key external and internal stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate, timely case documentation in line with scheme requirements and Beneco’s quality standards.
- Contributing to a team-oriented national team culture, centred around sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and upholding clinical standards.

THE PERSON

We are looking for Rehab Consultants who combine strong occupational rehabilitation experience with the independence and initiative to thrive in a remote working environment. The right person for this role will bring:

Experience

- A minimum of three years of experience in occupational rehabilitation, in a consultancy or scheme-based setting.
- Sound working knowledge of the WorkCover Tasmania scheme and injury management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently, with strong organisation, clinical judgement, and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively and professionally engage with a variety of different stakeholders, including employers, treating practitioners, Allied Health professionals, and insurers, as well as Beneco team members.
- Injury Management Coordinator (IMC) Registration with WorkSafe Tasmania is preferred, though not essential.
- Relevant professional accreditation (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC).
- A current, full driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle for client site travel across Tasmania
