We’re recruiting an experienced Venue Manager for an acclaimed restaurant and events venue in the Byron Bay hinterland. This is a brilliant chance to relocate from Sydney, work with a team that cares deeply about food and service, and enjoy a roster built predominantly around daytime hours.
The venue delivers a distinctive dining experience alongside weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations. It’s a hands-on leadership role in a small, passionate team, with the freedom to take real ownership of the guest experience.

The role

You’ll lead three lunch services each week, with two further days focused on planning, administration and preparing the team for what’s ahead. You’ll be on the floor welcoming guests, guiding service and working closely with the kitchen. You’ll also manage the front of house team, bookings, event enquiries, rostering, ordering and supplier relationships.
Weddings and events are a meaningful part of the role. You’ll work with clients, planners and the wider team to make sure each occasion runs smoothly, from the first conversation through to the final guest departure.



You’ll also bring your beverage expertise to the table, managing the drinks list, developing food pairings and creating appealing event packages.

What you’ll bring

- Experience managing a quality restaurant or hospitality venue
- A genuine love of food, wine and memorable service
- The ability to recruit, train and lead a strong front of house team
- Confidence managing the commercial and administrative side of a venue
- Excellent communication with guests, clients, suppliers and colleagues
- A calm, practical approach when service or events are in full swing

Experience with weddings and events will be highly regarded.
