Our client is a thriving community pub in central Sydney seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to step into a second-in-charge role. This is a permanent position reporting directly to the Venue Manager. The venue is a dynamic medium scale capacity space with a strong mix of gaming, food and beverage operations, hosting regular functions and welcoming a busy lunch service. As part of a larger group this is an opportunity to grow with a business on the move.
- Lead daily operations as 2IC, managing staff, service standards, and venue logistics across a busy, multi-faceted hospitality space
- Hands-on involvement in functions, gaming operations, and F&B; service in a beloved community workplace
Preferred Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager in a Pub environment,
ideally with gaming and functions experience.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, stock management, and cost control
- Experience managing busy service periods and maintaining standards during peak trading
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Current RSA and RCG certifications
- Experience with venue management systems and point-of-sale software
- Must have full working rights, no sponsorship available
