General Manager / Venue Manager - Premium Hospitality Venue

Eastern Suburbs, Sydney | $90K $110k + Super DOE

An established and highly regarded hospitality venue in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is seeking an exceptional General Manager / Venue Manager to lead its front-of-house operation.

n

This is a senior leadership role within a busy, premium venue with a loyal local following and a strong reputation for genuine hospitality.

n

We are not simply looking for someone who can manage a roster, complete administration or work hard on the floor. We need a hospitality operator who can command the entire venue, anticipate what is happening across service and maintain exceptional standards without relying on ownership being present.

The Role

n

You will lead the day-to-day front-of-house operation, ensuring service remains polished, efficient and highly attentive through demanding, high-volume periods.

n

You will naturally see the whole room - noticing guests waiting for attention, tables needing clearing, food or beverages being delayed, sections falling behind and bottlenecks developing before they become problems.

n

Rather than becoming absorbed in one task or section, you will constantly reprioritise and direct the team where they are needed most.

n

Responsibilities include:

n

- Leading and orchestrating high-volume service
n
- Maintaining exceptional customer service across the entire venue
n
- Directing staff and reallocating resources during busy periods
n
- Building relationships with regular guests and delivering personalised hospitality
n
- Handling complaints and service recovery confidently
n
- Coaching staff during service and addressing poor standards immediately
n
- Developing supervisors and future leaders
n
- Managing rostering, labour,



productivity and staffing levels
n
- Driving sales, table utilisation and operational efficiency
n
- Maintaining discipline, accountability and consistent standards
n
- Identifying and resolving issues without waiting for ownership direction
n

About You

n

You may currently be a General Manager, Venue Manager, strong Restaurant Manager or exceptional Assistant General Manager ready to step up.

n

More important than your current title is your ability to lead a busy hospitality operation.

n

You will bring:

- Strong experience within a high-volume restaurant, premium café, hotel or quality hospitality group
n
- Exceptional floor awareness and service instincts
n
- The ability to direct a team rather than trying to personally complete every task
n
- Solid customer recognition and relationship-building skills
n
- Calm, decisive leadership under pressure
n
- Proven staff training, coaching and accountability
n
- Commercial understanding across labour, wages, productivity, sales and wastage
n
- A proactive, ownership-focused approach
n
