About the Client

Our client is one of Australias largest waste management, recycling, and resource recovery company. Our client provides waste collection, processing, treatment, and resource recovery services to households, councils, commercial businesses, and major industrial operations.

About the Role

As a HR Medical Waste Driver, you will be responsible for safely delivering and collecting medical waste bins from healthcare facilities and collection points across the Sunshine Coast.

The staging site is located in Forest Glen, so candidates should ideally live on the Sunshine Coast or somewhere between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

The role is Monday Friday, with occasional weekend and public holiday work. Start times can vary between 12am and 5pm, with no fixed start time working a rotating roster. Typical shifts are 812 hours, with overtime and allowances paid in accordance with the Waste Management Award.

Your duties will include

- Safely and punctually delivering medical waste bins to healthcare facilities and collection points
- Loading and unloading medical waste bins from the delivery vehicle
- Lifting and moving medical waste bins weighing up to 30kg
- Following assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Communicating effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other relevant personnel
- Reporting any delivery issues, delays, or other concerns




Understanding that this role involves significant physical work and is not simply driving from Point A to Point B

Requirements

- HR Drivers Licence automatic licence is acceptable
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred
- Reliable transport
- Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, standing, and other strenuous activities
- Ability to safely lift and move bins weighing up to 30kg
- Forklift Licence desirable but not required
- WH&S; requirements, with certificate presented to the Site Manager on arrival
- Willing to undertake a Police Check
- Drug & Alcohol Screening (DAS)
- Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred
