An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Mechanical Coordinator to join a major resources maintenance project in Perth.
This is a predominantly office-based position, supporting ongoing maintenance activities across multiple operational facilities. The role will focus on reviewing SMP work scopes, developing work packs, estimating labour and resources, and ensuring maintenance scopes are effectively prepared for execution.
There will also be ad hoc site travel as required.
About the Role
Working closely with maintenance, engineering and execution teams, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing structural, mechanical and piping work scopes
- Developing detailed work packs for maintenance activities
- Creating job cards and work orders
- Estimating labour hours for planned SMP scopes
- Determining required trades and execution resources
- Planning boilermaker, rigger and scaffolding requirements
- Reviewing structural and piping repair requirements
- Supporting maintenance planning and execution readiness
- Utilising SAP S/4HANA for work management activities
- Coordinating information across multidisciplinary project teams
- Identifying resource requirements and potential execution constraints
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Solid SMP maintenance or work management experience
- Mechanical Coordinator, Planner or Estimator experience
- Strong understanding of structural and piping repairs
- Experience developing work packs and job cards
- Demonstrated labour and resource estimation experience
- Strong knowledge of maintenance execution requirements
- SAP S/4HANA or similar SAP experience
- Understanding of work order management processes
- Ability to interpret SMP scopes and technical information
- Strong stakeholder and multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Resources, mining, oil & gas or heavy industry experience
A Boilermaker trade background would be highly regarded, particularly where combined with planning, estimating or work management experience.
