The Opportunity

Komatsu is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Campbellfield operation and while operational experience matters, the kind of leader you are matters just as much.

We’re looking for someone who can bring people together, create accountability without micromanaging, develop their leaders and build a culture where people know what’s expected of them and feel supported to deliver.

This is a significant leadership role with 5 direct reports and approximately 50 indirect reports, with responsibility for the overall operational performance of the Campbellfield Branch.

You’ll have broad ownership across people, customers, safety, service, parts, PDI, financial performance and day-to-day branch operations.

What will you be responsible for?

- Leading, coaching and developing the branch leadership team to deliver results through their people.
- Establishing clear expectations, accountability and operating rhythms across all areas of the branch.
- Holding functional leaders accountable for safety, customer service, productivity, WIP, invoicing, warranty, inventory and operational performance.
- Owning the branch financial result, including revenue, margin, operating profit, expenditure and forecast accuracy.
- Using KPIs and business data to identify performance gaps, challenge results and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Driving workforce planning, technician productivity, utilisation and capacity to meet customer demand.
- Providing leadership and governance across Service, Parts and New Equipment/PDI operations.
- Ensuring supervisors and managers actively manage their teams rather than allowing issues to escalate unnecessarily.
- Building leadership capability and succession through coaching,



performance management and development planning.
- Establishing strong relationships with key customers and ensuring customer issues are owned and resolved at the appropriate level.
- Identifying and delivering opportunities for profitable growth and improved operational performance.
- Maintaining strong governance across safety, quality, compliance and company processes.
- Creating a culture where problems are identified early, ownership is clear and people are expected to bring solutions, not simply escalate issues.

What we are looking for:

- You'll have demonstrated leadership experience, along with experience or strong knowledge of the earthmoving, mining or construction equipment industries.
- You'll also bring commercial capability. You'll need to understand operational and financial performance, analyse what's happening in the business and turn that information into practical action.
- Strong customer relationships are equally important.
- Experience with SAP and Dynamics AX would be beneficial.
- Well developed written and verbal communication at all levels.
