Electrical Project Manager

$150k - $170k + Super | 6-12 Month Contract | 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a strong commercial electrical background and a hands-on approach?

This is an exciting 6–12-month contract opportunity to join a well-established electrical contractor delivering a major commercial education project in Western NSW.

The role will be Melbourne-based, with travel to site required on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster. Travel and accommodation will be provided.

You’ll take ownership of the electrical delivery on the project, managing the day-to-day works, leading a team of electricians and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, builders and other project stakeholders.

This is a genuinely hands-on Project Manager position, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable getting on the tools when required to assist with project delivery, problem solving and critical works.

The Role:

- Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical works across the project.
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and electrical tradespeople.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor work to ensure project milestones are achieved.




- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries and site activities.
- Liaise with builders, clients, consultants and other trades.
- Monitor labour, materials, productivity and project costs.
- Assist with variations, progress claims, forecasting and commercial management.
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.

Requirements:

- Qualified and licensed electrician.
- Strong commercial electrical experience.
- Previous experience managing commercial electrical projects.
- Experience leading and managing a team of 6+ electricians/tradespeople.
- Comfortable working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster in Western NSW.

Desirable:

- Experience delivering education, government or institutional projects.
- Modular construction experience.
