The Role

Due to continued growth, MCA Engineering is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers to join our team on a major underground construction project in Central West NSW.

Depending on your experience and qualifications, your duties may include:

- Operating cranes in an underground construction environment
- Rigging, lifting, moving and positioning equipment and structural components
- Preparing loads and selecting suitable lifting and rigging equipment
- Completing lifting operations in accordance with lift plans and site procedures
- Inspecting lifting equipment and ensuring it is safe and suitable for use
- Conducting pre-start inspections and routine crane checks
- Identifying and reporting equipment faults or maintenance requirements




- Communicating clearly with doggers, supervisors and construction crews
- Completing all work safely and in accordance with site requirements

About You

- Previous experience as a Crane Operator or Rigger in an underground, mining or construction environment
- Current High Risk Work Licence appropriate to your role
- Relevant crane, rigging and dogging qualifications and tickets
- Strong understanding of lift plans, lifting procedures and safe equipment operation
- Ability to inspect lifting equipment and complete pre-start checks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
- Availability to work a 2:1 roster across day and night shifts
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
