About this Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join us at our Australian Head Office in a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing work instructions and checklists.

- Supports Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with valve design, development, installation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.

- Selecting right machining tools and equipment. Ensuring final products meet the quality requirements for customers and relevant standards.

- Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components,



machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems

- Collects and analyses test data while assisting with quality inspections, installation checks, and verification of valves and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards

- Using mechanical engineering technician skills to size, assemble and install new and modified (refurbished) valves assemblies with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuation systems.

- Conducts testing and performance assessments of valves, mechanical components, and manufacturing equipment to identify faults, verify functionality, and ensure products meet required specifications.

- Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant

- Visiting customer sites and performing and directing field tests to conduct root cause analysis may also be required.

About you

The successful candidate must have:

- Relevant Diploma-level or higher qualification and at least 1 year of relevant post-qualification work experience, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification

- Mechanical drawing software certificates like Auto CAD

- Mechanical assembly and testing

- Experience in quality control

- Sound knowledge of reading and making mechanical drawing of the valve assembly
