Downer has recently been awarded the Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, and we are looking for full time and casual Security Guards to join our team at Rockhampton Town Centre.

Casual opportunities offer approximately 20-35 hours per week. To succeed in these roles, you will need the flexibility to work across a changing roster and respond to the evolving needs of the security team.

These positions are paid in accordance with the Security Services Industry Award, with applicable penalty rates for night shifts and weekends.

What your day will look like:

- Monitoring the premises and conducting regular patrols
- Controlling site access and managing visitors, contractors and deliveries
- Responding promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms and emergencies
- Providing general assistance while maintaining a visible and approachable presence
- Identifying and reporting suspicious activity,



hazards and maintenance issues
- Maintaining accurate records, following procedures and liaising with relevant services when required

What you'll bring:

- Certificate II in Security Operations (mandatory); Certificate III in Security Operations is desirable
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (mandatory)
- Current Working with Children Check (mandatory)
- Experience monitoring CCTV, alarms and access control systems
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on de-escalation

Successful applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including a health declaration, police check and reference checks.
