Build your career in healthcare with a growing local team

- Wellvue | Queanbeyan, NSW | Full time or part time

- $30 to $35 per hour plus superannuation

Wellvue is looking for an organised, warm and dependable person to join our administration and patient support team in Queanbeyan.

This could suit someone who already works in medical reception or healthcare administration.

It could also suit someone with strong administration or qualified customer-service experience who wants to build a career in healthcare.

You do not need to know every Wellvue process when you arrive.

We will provide structured training in our systems, patient workflows and mental health administration.

What matters most is that you communicate well, notice the details, learn quickly and take responsibility for getting things done.

About Wellvue

Wellvue is an Australian mental health service helping people access psychiatrists, psychologists and other clinicians through telehealth.

Our administration team plays an important role in helping patients navigate referrals, appointments and ongoing care.

You will work from our heritage office at Hibernia Lodge in Queanbeyan alongside a supportive local team, while helping coordinate care for patients across Australia.

What you’ll be doing

You will help our patients and clinicians with tasks including:

- responding warmly and professionally to patient enquiries

- coordinating appointments and referrals

- communicating with GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists and other healthcare pew patients understand the administrative steps involved in accessing care

- managing patient intake and telehealth administration

- processing payments, invoices and Medicare-related administration

- maintaining patient records

- preparing and sending correspondence

- responding to telephone and email enquiries

- following up outstanding administrative tasks

- maintaining privacy and confidentiality

- identifying problems and helping improve the way we work

As your knowledge and capability develop, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibility across patient coordination, clinician support, senior administration and operations.

Who could be a valuable fit?

We are less interested in finding someone who ticks every box and more interested in finding someone with the right foundation and attitude.

You may have experience in:

- medical reception

- allied health

- dental reception or administration

- specialist medical practices

- pharmacy or healthcare

- office administration

- professional customer service

- another role involving confidential information, organisation and communication

Previous healthcare experience is highly regarded, but it is not the only pathway into the role.

You are likely to enjoy working at Wellvue if you:

- are warm and confident communicating with people

- are highly organised

- notice details

- learn new software quickly

- stay calm when several things need attention

- take ownership of problems

- enjoy helping people

- communicate professionally

- care about doing things properly

- want to become someone your team can depend on

We particularly value the attitude:

“I noticed this needed doing, so I sorted it out.”

Why join Wellvue?
Meaningful work

Your work helps Australians access mental health care.

You are not simply processing appointments. Good administration helps patients, clinicians and referrers navigate care more smoothly.

Learn valuable healthcare skills

You will gain experience across patient coordination, referrals, telehealth, clinician support, Medicare administration and healthcare systems.

Opportunity to grow

Wellvue is growing.

People who demonstrate capability and take responsibility may have opportunities to broaden their role as the organisation develops.

As Wellvue grows, capable team members may have opportunities to broaden their responsibilities and develop into more senior administrative and operational roles.

Your ideas matter

If you notice a better way of doing something, we want to hear it.

We value people who look for practical ways to improve the experience of patients, clinicians and colleagues.

A supportive local team

We want Wellvue to be a workplace where people are professional, dependable and kind to one another.

Weekday stability

- Monday to Friday

- No regular weekend roster

- No night shifts

- Free parking

A Distinctive workplace

Our team works from Hibernia Lodge, a heritage office in Queanbeyan, rather than a traditional medical-centre environment.

Pay and hours

$30–$35 per hour plus superannuation, depending on relevant skills and experience.

We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Consistent weekday availability is important.

This is an office-based role in Queanbeyan, so applicants need to be able to commute reliably to Hibernia Lodge.

Interested?

If you are looking for a local role where you can learn, contribute and become an important part of a growing healthcare organisation, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a short cover letter telling us:

- why this role caught your attention

- what relevant experience or transferable skills you would bring

- whether you are seeking full-time or part-time work and your weekday availability

We welcome applications from people with different career backgrounds who can demonstrate the skills needed for the role.
